VICTOR GUEDY
Victor Guedy (1990-), Compagnon du Devoir then project
manager at the Ateliers Saint-Jacques / Fonderie de Coubertin is a french emerging sculptor.
For his second exhibition at the gallery, this artist trained
with the greatest french expertise is not without summoning the Nietzschean thought in his creative approach : an appropriation of traditional values for the purposes
of primitive or even naive stories.
A meticulous taming of the material, almost atavistic, which reveals a determinism as customary as sleeping allows to dream.
Here, we rediscover his totem animal, accompanied by a collection of Vanités in bronze, presented in the spirit of a cohesion between ancestral mastery and intangible creativity already perceptible at his first show at the gallery last year.
